Landslide Shuts Down A21 in East Sussex

Major Road Blocked Between Battle and Hastings

A landslide has forced the closure of the A21 in East Sussex. Both directions of the road are shut between the A2100 near Battle and the A28 near Hastings.

Highways & Emergency Services Respond

Highways England said they “hope to install two-way traffic lights later this afternoon” to reopen the road.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene, helping manage the closure and keep motorists safe.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek alternative routes until the road fully reopens.
