Tragic Death After Person Hit by Train at Denmark Hill Station

A fatal incident rocked Denmark Hill station on Tuesday evening when a person was struck by a train at around 8.15pm.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Emergency crews were called to platform four after reports of someone trapped under a train. Despite frantic efforts by paramedics and officers, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Not Treated as Suspicious

British Transport Police confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious. A spokesperson said:

“Officers were called to Denmark Hill station at 8.16pm yesterday evening (22 March) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

A coroner’s inquest will follow as investigators continue to piece together the tragic circumstances.
