Tragic Death as Person Hit by Train at Denmark Hill Station

A person has died after being struck by a train at Denmark Hill station on Tuesday evening.

Emergency Services Respond to Horror on Platform Four

Emergency crews rushed to platform four shortly after 8.15pm following reports that someone was trapped under a train.

Despite desperate efforts by paramedics, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

British Transport Police Confirm No Suspicion

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Denmark Hill station at 8.16pm yesterday evening (22 March) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

Investigations continue, but police have confirmed foul play is not suspected. The case now moves to the coroner’s office.
