Tragic Death on Elizabeth Line at Hanwell Station
A person has died following a distressing incident on the Elizabeth line at Hanwell station in west London on the night of October 14.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Emergency teams were called to Hanwell station around 10:30pm after reports of a casualty on the tracks. British Transport Police and London Ambulance Service paramedics quickly arrived. The individual was rushed to hospital but sadly died later.
Incident Not Suspicious, Investigation Ongoing
Authorities have confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner. Train services between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport were temporarily suspended but have now resumed.
“We were called to Hanwell station at around 10:30 pm on Monday, 15 October following reports of a casualty on the tracks,” a British Transport Police spokesperson said. “Officers attended along with paramedics, and a person was taken to hospital where they sadly later died. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
