Fatal Crash Shuts Down Reading Inner Distribution Road
Tragedy struck Reading early this morning (Saturday 21st October 2017) as a fatal collision near Reading Police Station claimed one life. A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle just yards from the station in the early hours.
Emergency Crews Unable to Save Victim
Paramedics and emergency teams rushed to the scene but sadly the victim died on impact. The Inner Distribution Road (IDR) has been shut down as police launch a full investigation.
Road Closure and Witness Appeal
Local diversions are now in place with the IDR expected to stay closed for several hours while specialist officers examine the scene.
Anyone with information, or drivers who may have dashcam footage of the collision, is urged to contact Thames Valley Police on 101.
