Plane Crashes Onto Busy A40 Near Welsh Village
A plane has smashed down onto the A40 dual carriageway near Abergavenny, causing chaos and thick smoke clouds over the busy road.
Passengers Suffer Serious Burns
Those on board are reported to have sustained major burns. Miraculously, the plane narrowly missed a car as it came crashing onto the dual carriageway.
Road Closed Amid Police Incident
The A40 is closed both ways between Raglan and Abergavenny while emergency services and the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) deal with the scene.
A Gwent Police spokesperson warned: “Diversions are in place which may cause congestion. Avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey.”
