Police arrest Man after 4 Year old Mowed Down in Southampton Hit and Run

A man has been arrested following a fail to stop collision in Southampton which left a four-year-old girl in hospital. Officers were called to Denzil Avenue at 7.50pm on Thursday, 27 July to reports of a collision involving a young girl and a silver Ford Focus. The girl suffered a broken leg and was taken to Southampton General Hospital. The car was later recovered by police in Fanshaw Street, close to Onslow Road. A 45-year-old man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop and failing to report a collision. He is currently in custody.
