Boy, 4, Hit and Hospitalised in Southampton Hit-and-Run

A man has been arrested after a hit-and-run collision in Southampton left a four-year-old girl with a broken leg.

Crash on Denzil Avenue

Police were called at 7.50pm on Thursday, 27 July, following reports of a collision involving a young girl and a silver Ford Focus on Denzil Avenue. The girl was rushed to Southampton General Hospital with serious leg injuries.

Driver Nabbed After Fleeing Scene

Officers tracked down the car abandoned on Fanshaw Street near Onslow Road. A 45-year-old Southampton man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing serious injury, failing to stop, and failing to report the collision. He remains in custody.
