Brave Cops and Public Team Up to Rescue Residents from blazing NW10 Building

Two courageous Metropolitan Police officers and heroic members of the public risked their lives to save residents trapped inside a burning building on High Street, NW10, last Friday, December 13. The fire erupted just after 1.10 PM at a three-storey property, triggering a rapid emergency response.

Heart-Stopping Rescue at Smoking Building

On arrival, officers faced thick smoke pouring from windows and urgent reports of people still trapped inside the first-floor flat. Without hesitation, the police and brave bystanders stormed into the inferno to guide terrified residents to safety.

When it emerged that a man was stuck in an upstairs flat, a quick-thinking member of the public grabbed a ladder from a nearby courtyard. They smashed through a window and helped the man escape the fiery threat.

All residents were safely evacuated. Thankfully, no one suffered serious injuries. However, three residents and one police officer, in his 20s, were hospitalised with smoke inhalation. One officer remains in hospital but is expected to recover fully.
