Isle of Wight Schoolkids Go Wild, Steal Digger and Wreck Golf Course
Six secondary school kids from the Isle of Wight bunked off lessons and went on a full-blown rampage at a local golf course—stealing the keys to a digger and causing chaos. All dressed in school uniform, the troublemakers swore, shouted abuse, and hurled rocks, shocking onlookers.
Golf Course Groundsman Faces Angry Yobs
Tony Mears, head groundsman at Shanklin & 1 Golf Course, which sits just yards from the kids’ school, said the language was shockingly disrespectful. “They showed no fear of the police or anyone in charge,” he said.
“One lad even threatened me—said he’d bring his dad down to sort me out if I touched him,” said Mr Mears.
Police Rush to Scene, Pursue Troublemakers
Keeping his cool, Mr Mears swiftly called the cops. Two police vans arrived fast and soon set off in pursuit of the unruly gang, determined to bring them to justice.
