Serious Crash Shuts M1 Northbound in Bedfordshire
The M1 is shut northbound between Junction 13 (Brogborough) and Junction 14 (Milton Keynes) after a nasty collision involving a lorry and a car.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Thames Valley Police, Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue, South Central Ambulance Service, and National Highways Traffic Officers scrambled to the multi-vehicle smash around 10:50pm. The road closure is in place while crews clear the wreckage and manage traffic chaos.
By 11:45pm, trapped vehicles were slowly allowed through past the scene, but delays remain.
Follow This Diversion – Avoid the Standstill
Drivers are urged to follow the hollow triangle diversion signs:
- Exit M1 at Junction 13 onto A421 northwest.
- At Kingston Roundabout, take the third exit onto A421 Standing Way.
- At A421/A4146 Brinklow Roundabout, take third exit onto A4146 Tongwell Street.
- Continue north on A4146 Tongwell Street to Fox Milne Roundabout.
- Take third exit onto A4146 Childs Way.
- Follow A4146 Childs Way to Northfield Roundabout (A509/A5130/A4146).
- Take second exit onto A509.
- Rejoin M1 at Junction 14.
