Man Found Stashed in Coach Engine in Lee Green
Just before 6.50am on Friday, police were called to Eltham Road near Courtland Avenue, Lee Green, after a man was discovered hidden in the engine compartment of a coach.
Coach Had Just Arrived from France
A Met Police spokesperson revealed the coach had recently arrived in the UK from France. Emergency services, including officers, London Ambulance Service, and London Fire Brigade, quickly responded to the scene.
Man Detained and Taken to Hospital
The man was detained as a precaution and rushed to hospital for evaluation. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed crews and an incident response officer attended the incident shortly after 6:50am.
Investigations Underway
Police said investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances behind the man’s remarkable attempt to stow away inside the coach engine.
