Massive Blaze Hits Crawley’s Acorn Health and Leisure
A fierce fire broke out at Acorn Health and Leisure on Copthorne Road, Crawley, early this morning. Fire crews were alerted just after 7.20 a.m., responding swiftly to the growing inferno.
Road Closures and Major Fire Response
The stretch from Wyevale Garden Centre to the Copthorne Hotel roundabout has been shut both ways due to the blaze. Initially, ten fire engines attended the scene, but by 8.55 a.m., West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS) had ramped up resources to 17 vehicles, including five specialist units.
