If you’re caught up in the diversion, follow the solid square symbol carefully:

1. Leave the M2 westbound toward London at Junction 6.
2. Take the A251 south toward the A252 in Challock.
3. At the roundabout with the A252, head westbound toward Charing.
4. Join the A20 westbound toward Maidstone and Junction 8 of the M20.
5. At the M20 junction, travel toward Junction 7 on the M20 westbound (London-bound).
6. Exit at Junction 7 and merge onto the A249 toward M2 Junction 5.
7. At Junction 5, get back on the M2.
