Blaze Rips Through Ducting From Basement to Fourth Floor
A fierce fire tore through the ducting system, raging from the building’s basement up to the fourth floor. Above the ground floor restaurant sit offices and flats, but thankfully no injuries have been reported so far.
Firefighters Battle Blaze in Scorching Conditions
Station Commander Chris Mattingley, who was at the scene, said: “The fire spread through the ducting from the basement all the way to the fourth floor.”
Brave firefighters battled the blaze in sweltering heat, working tirelessly to get it under control. The London Fire Brigade received 18 emergency calls about the fire after being alerted at 6.33pm.
Big Response from Multiple Fire Stations
The fire was finally brought under control at 9.15pm, but crews stayed on site to ensure any smouldering hotspots were fully extinguished.

Origin of Blaze Under Investigation
Officials are now probing how the fire started. No details on the cause have been released yet.
