Three Taggers Killed by Freight Train at Loughborough Junction
Tragedy struck early this morning as three taggers were fatally hit by a freight train at Loughborough Junction in South London. The men were found near spray paint cans shortly before 7am, and despite paramedics’ efforts, all three were pronounced dead at the scene.
Deadly Discovery at Loughborough Junction
British Transport Police were called to the scene around 7.30am following reports of multiple bodies on the tracks. Emergency teams from the London Ambulance Service rushed to the site but could not save the trio.
Investigation Underway as Officers Search for Answers
Officers remain on site, working to identify the victims and notify their families. Detective Superintendent Gary Richardson of the British Transport Police said:
“My team is working hard to understand what happened and how these three people came to lose their life on the railway. My thoughts are with the family and friends of these three people. At this time, we are treating their deaths as unexplained as we carry out a number of immediate enquiries. I would ask anyone who was near Loughborough Junction this morning and saw something they think might be relevant to come forward.”
