Tragic Crash on A12 Claims Two Lives

Two people died in a horror collision on the A12 between Stanway and Marks Tey yesterday afternoon. A vehicle veered off the northbound carriageway at around 12:45pm, killing a man and woman inside instantly.

Serious Injuries and Major Road Closures

Two other passengers suffered serious injuries and were rushed to hospital. The crash forced both carriageways to close, causing chaos for hours. The southbound lanes reopened around 5:20pm, with the northbound reopening three hours later.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Adam Pipe, Head of Roads Policing, said: “Our officers worked hard to clear the traffic trapped in this incident. I want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.”
