Two Injured in Ashford Road Smash

Emergency crews rushed to Ashford Road (A20) near Link Hill, Bearsted, after a crash involving a Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) fire engine and a car at around 10:30am today. Two people were treated at the scene for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. It remains unclear whether the casualties were firefighters or car occupants.

Fire Engine Damaged, Traffic Chaos Ensues

The fire engine, which was not responding to an emergency at the time, suffered front-end damage after being hit by the vehicle. The crash caused heavy traffic disruption along the busy A20 in both directions. Drivers were urged to avoid the area while emergency crews worked to clear the scene and assess the damage.
