Tragedy at Heaton Park Synagogue: Two Jewish Community Members Dead
The two innocent victims in the shocking attack at Heaton Park Congregation Synagogue on Thursday, 2 October 2025, have been named.
Victims Identified: Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz
Though formal identification is still pending, police believe the victims are 53-year-old Adrian Daulby and 66-year-old Melvin Cravitz, both from Crumpsall.
Their families have been informed, with specially trained Family Liaison Officers offering support during this heartbreaking time.
Police Extend Condolences and Promise Respect
Detective Chief Superintendent Lewis Hughes, leading the investigation, said:
“My deepest sympathies go out to Mr Daulby and Mr Cravitz’s families at this extremely difficult time. Family Liaison Officers are in regular contact with them and will keep them updated throughout the coronial process.
“We are committed to respecting cultural sensitivities and ensuring the wishes of the men and their loved ones are honoured.”
Post-mortem examinations by the Home Office are scheduled for this morning as inquiries into the incident continue.
