Three Dead in Horror Lydd Car Crash

Tragedy struck on Romney Road in Lydd as a smash claimed three lives. Police are now pleading for witnesses to come forward.

Fatal Collision Details

Kent Police rushed to the scene at 6.20pm on Sunday, 18 April 2021. A black Dacia Duster Ambiance and a white BMW M135i slammed into each other on the B2075.

The driver of the Dacia, a woman in her 50s, and two male passengers in the BMW, aged in their 20s and 40s, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The BMW’s driver, a man in his 30s, was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries.

Road Closure & Witness Appeal

Romney Road was closed until around 6.30am the following morning as authorities investigated the crash.

Officers urge anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle before the crash to get in touch with the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
