Massive Blaze Erupts at Hayes Factory
London Fire Brigade (LFB) rushed to a huge fire at a factory on Rigby Lane in Hayes late Monday night. The factory, packed with around 400 tonnes of waste recycling, went up in flames, sparking a major emergency response.
15 Fire Engines and Over 100 Firefighters Battle the Inferno
Fifteen fire engines and roughly 100 firefighters were dispatched to tackle the roaring blaze. Crews arrived at 11:41 pm and quickly sprung into action. Firefighters from Hillingdon, Heathrow, Feltham, Hayes, Heston, and surrounding stations joined the fight.
Two aerial ladders and a high-volume pump were brought in to help control the fire, which is still burning. The exact cause of the fire remains a mystery.
Dangerous Gas Cylinders Removed as Precaution
As a safety measure, firefighters removed around ten gas cylinders from the site. LFB warned that these cylinders could explode if exposed to heat, adding to the risk of the blaze.
“A fire at a factory on Rigby Lane in Hayes has prompted the dispatch of 15 fire engines and approximately 100 firefighters. A factory containing approximately 400 tonnes of waste recycling is on fire,” LFB said.
Fire authorities continue to battle the fire and investigate what sparked the dramatic blaze in Hayes.
