Massive Search Launched for Missing Six-Year-Old in Thamesmead
A frantic search is underway for a six-year-old reported missing from a home in Thamesmead. The Metropolitan Police have swung into action, deploying air support and dog units to scour the area both on land and from the skies.
Full Force Deployed Near River Thames
The child was last seen at their family residence near the River Thames. Officers, backed by the National Police air helicopter, are combing riverbanks and nearby parkland in a desperate bid to find the youngster.
“Time is of the essence,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson. “We’re using all available resources to secure a swift and safe return.”
Met Commissioner Reserves 50 Officers On Standby
The Met Police Commissioner Reserve has placed a team of 50 officers on standby, ready to assist across any London borough if needed. Specialist dog units, trained to track scent over wide areas, are key players in the search operation.
