Drug Kingpin Khaliq Ur Rehman on the Run After Busted for Breaking Crime Order

Khaliq Ur Rehman, 47, a convicted drug dealer, is dodging the authorities after breaking a Serious Crime Prevention Order (SCPO). He was locked up in 2011 for smuggling over 100kg of Class A drugs from Turkey into the UK but walked free in 2018 after serving half his sentence.

SCPO Restrictions Ignored

When released, Rehman was slapped with tough SCPO restrictions. He was supposed to disclose all his phones, emails, cars, and finances to law enforcement. But the National Crime Agency (NCA) found he hid several mobile numbers and email addresses – a big no-no that pointed to him still running serious organised crime.

He was arrested on 17 September 2020 on suspicion of breaching his SCPO but vanished once the investigation was underway. The NCA is now hunting for him with a public appeal.

NCA Warns Public: Help Nab Rehman or Risk Arrest

Mick Pope, Operations Manager at the NCA, said: “Khaliq Ur Rehman is a career criminal who we believe is still involved in serious and organised crime. We need your help to recall him to prison. If you know where he is or have any info, don’t hesitate to call. Anyone helping Rehman or obstructing police efforts risks arrest.”

This isn’t Rehman’s first SCPO breach. He was caught before possessing a mobile phone while locked up. His history is checkered with serious offences, including a 12-year sentence handed down in 2002 for drug dealing.

Know Where He Is?

Rehman is described as Asian, with short dark hair and a stocky build. He’s known to have strong ties in Birmingham, particularly in Alum Rock and Erdington.
