British Backpacker Stabbed in Noosa Beach Bar Horror
Teenager Goes Back for Blood
A British backpacker, 25, was viciously stabbed in the back by a 15-year-old teen in Australia’s popular Noosa beach resort. The shocking attack happened just after 4am on Queensland’s bustling Hastings Street.
Police say the stabbing followed a heated argument. The teenager initially left the scene but shockingly returned armed with a knife and a bottle, stabbing the backpacker in both the back and wrist.
Public Heroics Stop the Attack
Bystanders jumped into action, wrestling the knife-wielding youth to the ground until cops arrived. The teen was promptly arrested and charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
Authorities have not yet officially confirmed the victim’s nationality, though local media identified him as British.
Victim Rushed to Hospital, Expected to Recover
Emergency services rushed the injured backpacker to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with serious wounds. Thankfully, reports say he is expected to be discharged today (Monday), after receiving treatment.
Police Seek Witnesses as Investigation Continues
Queensland Police warned the violence stemmed from a verbal quarrel. They’re now urging anyone with information to come forward to aid the investigation.
