Hezbollah – a Lebanese Shia militant group – reports losing three fighters to Israeli shelling. An Israeli deputy commander and two Palestinian fighters were also killed in southern Lebanon.

Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has vowed to ramp up the assault on Hamas. Speaking to Israeli troops near Gaza, Gallant warned, “The offensive is underway and will only intensify.” He promised Hamas would see the change they crave—but it would come at a devastating cost.
