Fifth Arrest Made in Ben Daly Murder Probe

A chilling new twist in the murder investigation of Ben Daly has stunned Leamington Spa. Police have arrested a fifth suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of the 30-year-old.

Ben Daly was found with a gunshot wound near the junction of Clemens Street and Ranelagh Terrace in the early hours of Thursday. Despite desperate efforts, he died in hospital. Warwickshire Police have launched a full-scale investigation into the shocking killing.

Suspects Held on Murder and Conspiracy Charges

The latest arrest is a 52-year-old man taken into custody on suspicion of murder. This follows four previous arrests – two men and two women – on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. Those four have since been released on bail as inquiries continue.

Family Mourns Much-Loved Son and Father

Ben’s family expressed heartbreak, remembering him as a “much-loved” son and father who brought love and laughter into their lives. Detectives believe the shooting took place at Frances Havergal Close shortly before he was found near Clemens Street at around 3am.

Detective Chief Inspector Teresa McKenna, leading the case, urged anyone with dash-cam footage or information from the Frances Havergal Close and Ranelagh Terrace areas at the time to step forward.

“Our investigation into Ben’s tragic death continues at pace,” said Det Ch Insp McKenna. “We hope this fifth arrest reassures the community a thorough probe is underway.”
