Man stabbed outside Southampton Pub

Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Shirley, Southampton between midnight and 2am on Saturday 22 July. It was reported that three men got out of a car outside the Pig and Whistle pub in Shirley Road before assaulting a man and a woman. The 53-year-old man sustained serious but not life threatening stab wounds. The 28-year-old woman received minor injuries. Both victims had their mobile phones taken. The car has been described as a green, Y-reg Peugeot. Two 45-year-old men from Southampton and a 52-year-old man of no fixed abode have been arrested in connection with this incident.
