Glass Bottle Attack Sparks Police Hunt in Brixton

Police are on the lookout for witnesses after a man was assaulted with a glass bottle in Brixton in the early hours of Saturday, 14 April.

Victim Attacked Near Effra Road

At around 3:30am, London Ambulance Service were called to Effra Road, near Crownstone Road, following a distress call from a passerby. The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered wounds after being attacked by two males in their 20s. He was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital.

Injuries Not Life-Threatening

The victim’s injuries are serious but not life-threatening or life-changing. The suspects fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Police Urge Key Witnesses to Speak Up

Crucially, the person who flagged down the ambulance did not stay on-site, and officers want this individual to come forward. Additionally, police believe a man at a nearby bus stop may have witnessed the assault.
