West Midlands Police inspector pleas over making indecent images

Police inspector Lee Bartram has pleaded guilty to making indecent images of a child and distributing similar images to other paedophiles online Lee Bartram, of West Midlands Police, was arrested at home on Monday and charged yesterday evening He was charged with five counts of making an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child, and two counts of distributing an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child. He admitted making and distributing more than 300 indecent images of children, including a boy aged just six. The 44-year-old officer, who was based in Birmingham city centre, was remanded in custody at Walsall Magistrates’ Court until sentencing at Wolverhampton Crown Court on September 13 Bartram appeared visibly distressed in the dock this morning, holding his head in his hands throughout. The former inspector wore a blue logo t-shirt and blue jeans as he appeared for the brief hearing before a district judge. He spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth as an order was made to withhold publication of his address in the interest of his own safety and the safety of his family. The prosecution submitted that Bartram is at risk of suicide and poses a threat of the public
