Three Men Busted Over Spate of Thanet Burglaries

Three suspects have been hit with charges over a string of burglaries across Thanet. Sam Crew, 25, from Margate, along with Ryan Fountain, 24, and Marc Reed, 33, both of no fixed address, face conspiracy to steal between 24 June and 16 July 2019.

19 Offences Target Homes, Businesses, and Cars

Kent Police launched a probe after 19 crimes rocked the area, including break-ins at homes, shops, and vehicle thefts. Highlights of the theft spree include:

  • Van stolen from Kingfisher Close, Margate, on 8 July
  • Burglaries at Co-op store, Hopeville Avenue, Broadstairs on 15 July where cigarettes were nicked
  • Cash stolen from a Birchington farm shop the same day

Custody and Court Dates Set

All three appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court on 18 July and were remanded in custody. Their next showdown is scheduled for Canterbury Crown Court on 19 August.
