Aldershot Cops Smash Cannabis Factories Three Days Running!
Triple Drug Bust Shakes Aldershot
Aldershot neighbourhood officers hit the jackpot this week, uncovering not one but THREE cannabis factories in just as many days. It kicked off on September 30, when police raided a Sandford Road property spanning three floors, uprooting about 175 cannabis plants.
A teenage woman was arrested over the haul but has since been released without charge. The very next day, on October 1, a second grow-op was found at a Legge Crescent home, with 150 plants seized. No arrests made yet, but investigations are ongoing.
Hydroponic Set-Up Also Dismantled
The drug drama continued on October 2 at Park Road, where officers discovered 115 plants thriving in a hydroponic factory, swiftly dismantled. A 31-year-old man was arrested and released on police bail as inquiries press on.
Not Just ‘A Bit of Cannabis’ – Serious Crime Uncovered
“We know many think it’s just a bit of cannabis,” said police. “But large-scale grows like these are tied to organised crime gangs. These gangs often use serious violence, weapons, and exploit vulnerable people, sometimes forcing them into servitude.”
The cops also warned about the huge electrical risks involved in running such operations, which endanger neighbouring homes and lives due to fire hazards.
Police stressed the importance of public help: “Every tip-off helps us build intelligence to protect your community.”
