Drug Dealer Caught with Porsche and Thousands in Cash

Peterborough Man Nabbed with Class A Drugs

Bruno Te, 29, was busted by Neighbourhood Support Team officers in Peterborough on 9 June 2019 after suspicions of a drug deal. On arrest, cops found nine wraps of cocaine, six of heroin, nearly £912 in cash, and three mobile phones on him.

Hidden Wealth Exposed at Girlfriend’s Home

Te’s claimed part-time jobs as a door supervisor and barber didn’t explain his flashy lifestyle. Police raided his girlfriend’s home, uncovering designer clothes, shoes, and jewellery worth thousands. Receipts revealed around £10,000 spent in cash over just two months – a far cry from his declared income.

Evidence of a Major Player in Notorious ‘Blacks’ County Line

Texts on one of Te’s phones revealed discussions about the ‘Blacks’ drug line – a feared Peterborough drug operation Te was believed to run. Financial checks showed he declared almost no income since 2017, yet over £43,000 flooded into one bank account across 14 months, with even more cash flowing into other accounts, including one in his native Portugal.

Luxury Porsche Linked to Drug Cash

Te regularly made payments to the girlfriend of his brother, who was the registered keeper of a Porsche Panamera. Te was suspected to be the real owner and driver. In January 2020, cops stopped him driving the Porsche. He was caught with fake ID and no insurance, resulting in the car’s seizure and a driving ban plus a suspended prison sentence.

Attempted Flight to Portugal Ends in Arrest

On 23 October, Te was caught trying to flee the country from Stansted Airport. He was arrested on suspicion of money laundering and charged with supplying cocaine and heroin, plus acquiring criminal property. Te pleaded guilty.

54 Months Behind Bars for Peterborough Dealer

At Peterborough Crown Court on 8 January, Te was sentenced to 54 months in prison.

DC James Campbell said: “With the evidence stacked up against him, Te had no choice but to admit he played a significant role in the ‘Blacks’ county line, distributing heroin and cocaine throughout Peterborough.”

“County lines refers to organised crime groups expanding drug trafficking from big cities to smaller areas. This often involves exploiting vulnerable young people.

“Disrupting a key member like Te will majorly hit the drugs market in Peterborough and help protect young people from crime.”
