Hit-and-Run Horror: E-Scooter Rider Left Fighting for Life in Croydon
A dark-coloured vehicle ploughed into an e-scooter rider on Thornton Heath High Street, Croydon, at around 12:45pm on Thursday, 18 March. The crash happened near the junction of Grange Road and Whitehorse Lane.
Rider Rushed to Hospital with Serious Injuries
Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and police, rushed to the scene. The man on the e-scooter was rushed to a south London hospital. He remains in hospital, battling potentially life-changing injuries.
Driver Flees the Scene
The driver fled without stopping. Police say the vehicle was dark-coloured but have yet to release more details.
