Big Police Blitz Nets Dartford Criminals
Kent Police and the Metropolitan Police teamed up on Friday, June 4, 2021, for a major operation to crack down on crime and hunt down offenders in Dartford.
Drugs, Theft, Burglary Arrests
- Andrew Nash, 50, from Fairway Drive, Dartford, was stopped by officers in London Road. A search found class A drugs, leading to his arrest. He’s now bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on July 7.
- A 21-year-old man was nabbed on suspicion of theft after a dog went missing from a Hill View home at 7:45am that same day. He’s been released on bail until June 29.
- A 30-year-old Dartford man was arrested for a burglary dating back to March 23, 2021, in Burnham Road. Cash was stolen. He’s currently released under investigation as enquiries continue.
More Arrests for Crime and Disorder
Officers also arrested several others for a mix of offences: criminal damage, theft, and domestic abuse.
Inspector Praises Joint Police Effort
“This was a successful operation which saw a number of outstanding offenders targeted, as well as people being arrested for criminal activity while officers patrolled the town,”
said Inspector Sarah Rivett of Dartford Community Safety Unit.
“We work hard to target offenders and reduce crime and disorder in the town, and this was a great example of how a joined-up approach with our partners can yield positive results.”
