Man in His 40s Found Dead After Brutal Assault in London
Police were called to the junction of Goresbrook Road and Treswell Road just before midnight on Friday, 23 July, after a man, believed to be in his 40s, was found injured and assaulted.
Victim Dies at Scene
Emergency services battled to save the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are working to identify and inform his next of kin. A post-mortem will take place soon.
Suspect Arrested on Murder Charge
A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime are leading the investigation. A crime scene is still in place as enquiries continue to uncover what happened.
