Gallon’s Sick Crimes Exposed
David Gallon, also known as David Storey, began abusing one of his victims when she was just 12 years old. His vile assault was repeated multiple times, leaving her too terrified to report it for years. Eventually, she found the courage to speak out, triggering a Northumbria Police Safeguarding Unit investigation.
Another Victim Steps Forward
Police were soon contacted by a second victim who named Gallon as her attacker. The 23-year-old was arrested but denied all charges. That didn’t stop the jury at Newcastle Crown Court from convicting him of rape, sexual assault on a girl under 13, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and four counts of sexual activity with a child. He also pleaded guilty to an additional offence involving a girl under 16.
Victims Reveal Lasting Trauma
“I am a victim of abuse,” one survivor told the court. “I still don’t understand why it was me. I ask myself that every day. Everyone says ‘teenage years are the best years’ but for me, that just isn’t true.”
“It makes me sick and embarrassed that at just 12, I had my dignity ripped from me.”
The second victim added, “This man exploited my trust, my naivety and vulnerabilities, putting me through an ordeal that will affect me for life. It has ruined my education, friendships, and everyday life. Things that used to feel natural are now a constant struggle.”
