Adhurim Hoxha, 41, with no fixed address, pleaded guilty at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (23/9) to running a massive cannabis farm in Witney.

On 15 June, police swooped on an industrial unit in Station Lane after locals reported a strong cannabis smell and suspicious comings and goings. Inside, officers found around 700 cannabis plants at various stages of growth – a colossal haul.

Hoxha was arrested on the spot and charged the very next day.

Detective Constable Grahame Lea from Banbury CID said: “This conviction and sentence shows how Thames Valley Police will continue to work proactively to disrupt organised criminals and reduce the impact such set ups have on our communities.”
