Buy Fuel as Normal, Warns Fire Chief
George O’Reilly, Group Manager for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, urges drivers to keep buying petrol as usual. “We understand the challenges and are working together to provide support,” he said.
He added: “If the community buys fuel normally, it will help the supply chain catch up faster.”

Officials also warned against hoarding petrol, citing fire dangers. Petrol is highly flammable and should only be stored in approved containers, following Health and Safety Executive guidelines. For more info, visit HSE advice on petrol storage.
