Woman in 80s Seriously Injured After Crash in Central London

Police swooped on a shocking crash at 12:15pm Tuesday, 1 November, where a car slammed into a pedestrian at the busy junction of St George’s Square and Lupus Street, W1.

80-Year-Old Woman in Life-Threatening Condition

The victim, an elderly woman in her 80s, was rushed to hospital by ambulance. She remains in a life-threatening state. Authorities have informed her next of kin.

Driver Arrested on Dangerous Driving Charges

The driver, a 27-year-old man, stayed at the scene. Police arrested him on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He is currently held at a central London police station.

Witnesses and Dash Cam Owners Urged to Come Forward

The Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is probing the crash and needs witnesses or drivers with dash cam footage to help.
