Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man connected to a severe assault against a member of rail staff. An image of the individual has been released as part of the investigation.
The incident occurred on June 25 at around 4.05pm at Crawley station. The victim, who was stationed at the gate line, confronted a man who attempted to pass through without a valid ticket. In response, the man became aggressive, striking the staff member with a punch and subsequently stomping on his head.
The victim sustained multiple injuries, including three eye fractures, a fractured jaw, and another fracture to his shoulder. The severity of the assault has prompted a thorough investigation by law enforcement authorities.
Detectives are now appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the man depicted in the released CCTV images. They believe he may possess vital information that could aid in their investigation.
