Two Men Arrested in Kenya and Brought Back to UK Over 2019 Teen Stabbing

Mohamud and Montiero Charged

Siyad Mohamud, 23, and Tariq Montiero, 21, both with no fixed address, were arrested in Kenya and flown back to the UK on Sunday, 31 January. The pair have been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing.

Court Appearances Scheduled

They appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 31 January. Both were remanded in custody and are set to face trial at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 2 February.

The victim, Alex, was just 16 when he was found with fatal stab wounds in Munster Square, near Euston Road, back on 12 August 2019. The case has gripped London with its tragic cold-blooded nature.
