Gosport Scores £259m Defence Contract Boost
Local MP Caroline Dinenage has hailed a major win for Gosport as the Ministry of Defence (MOD) awards a massive 10-year, £259 million contract to QinetiQ. The deal promises a hefty boost for local jobs and the economy.

QinetiQ’s Expert Role
QinetiQ will deliver independent design, testing, evaluation, and assurance across Hydromechanics, Stealth and Signatures, Structures, and Maritime Life Support. The Haslar site is set to become a Centre of Excellence for Hydrodynamics, putting Gosport firmly on the defence map.

“This contract shows the Government’s commitment to defence activity in our local area supporting local jobs and skilled training opportunities for our future defence needs,” Caroline Dinenage said. “Establishing the Haslar site as a Centre of Excellence for Hydrodynamics is great news for Gosport and the UK!”
