Violent Brawl in Kent Car Park Sparks Axe Attack Investigation

Kent Police rushed to a car park near St George’s Place at 6.08pm on Thursday, 28 September 2023, after reports of a violent altercation involving a group of people. When officers arrived, the crowd had already vanished.

Man Injured in Ashford Linked to Incident

Later, emergency services were called to a home in Ashford. A man showed injuries believed to be from the earlier fracas. He was rushed to a London hospital but has since been discharged.

Six Arrested as Axe Wielding Suspect Faces Court

East Kent CID’s probe into the brawl has led to six arrests on suspicion of violent disorder. Detectives have charged 30-year-old Erblin Haxhiaj of York Road, Ashford, with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon—an axe.

Haxhiaj is set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 3 October. The five other suspects have been bailed as inquiries continue.
