Woman Attacked After Trying to Help Stranger in St Leonards
Police are hunting a suspect after a shocking assault on a Good Samaritan in St Leonards. The incident happened around 7pm on Friday, October 20, in Kenilworth Road.
Kind Gesture Turns Violent
A woman heard a man shouting nearby and went over to check on him. She kindly offered to ask her neighbour if he could use their bathroom and gave the man a glass of water. But after he used the bathroom, the man followed her and launched a brutal attack before running off towards the seafront.
Suspect Description
- White male, 30-40 years old
- About 6ft tall with a thin build
- Missing bottom front teeth
- Wearing dark jeans, a baseball cap, and carrying a brown backpack
Police Plea for Dashcam and Doorbell Footage
Detective Constable Debora Baptista is desperate to track down the attacker. She said: “The victim was simply trying to help, but her kindness led to a violent assault. We urge anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage to come forward.”
