Four men have been handed jail sentences for their involvement in the murder of 32-year-old Emmanuel Odunlami in the City of London in May 2022, a crime stemming from a dispute over a fake Patek Philippe watch.
Jordell Menzies, 27, from Brent, has received a life sentence with a minimum term of 31 years for the murder of Mr. Odunlami. In addition, Menzies was given an eight-year sentence for robbery, to be served concurrently.
The other three individuals involved were found guilty of manslaughter and robbery, with the following sentences imposed:
- Quincy Ffrench, 28, from Tottenham, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for manslaughter and seven years and four months for robbery, to run concurrently.
- Louis Vandrose, 28, from Thornton Heath, has also been handed a 15-year prison sentence for manslaughter, with an additional seven years and four months for robbery, to be served concurrently.
- Kavindu Hettiarachchi, also known as KBrown Lankan, aged 31, from Harrow, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for manslaughter and 10 years for robbery.
The fatal incident occurred following a dispute over the authenticity of a Patek Philippe watch. Odunlami’s death marks a tragic outcome in a case driven by material possessions. The sentencing reflects the severity of the crime and aims to bring justice to the victim’s family and loved ones.
