At 7.42pm on Thursday, 12 September, police were called to reports of a vehicle that had collided with advertising hoardings on Colney Hatch Lane, N10, near Powerleague Barnet.
Upon arrival, officers found the driver, a man in his 80s, unresponsive inside the vehicle. Officers immediately administered CPR until paramedics arrived, but despite their best efforts, the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are currently working to inform the man’s next of kin. There have been no reports of any other injuries related to the incident.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the collision, including whether any other vehicles were involved. A scene remains in place as officers continue their enquiries.
