Police Appeal After Fake Bank Notes Used at Asda in Hyson Green

Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the use of counterfeit banknotes at the Asda supermarket in Hyson Green, Nottingham.

The incident occurred on Saturday, August 3, 2024, when a customer reportedly used fraudulent £20 notes to purchase a series of gift cards.

PC Jordan Hinds, from the City Central neighbourhood policing team, said, “The use of counterfeit banknotes is a serious offence, and we are determined to bring the offender to justice. We believe the individual in these images may be able to assist with the investigation and would encourage him to come forward.”

Anyone who recognises the individual or has information is urged to call 101, quoting reference 24*462876. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously at 0800 555 111.

Police are keen to ensure justice is served and prevent further fraudulent activity.
