Fourth Charged in Joshua McLean Murder Case
New Arrest Rocks Tower Hamlets Murder Investigation
A fourth man has been charged over the brutal murder of Joshua McLean in Tower Hamlets. Muhammad Abbas, 22, from Bradford Road, Kirklees, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 7 October. He was arrested just two days earlier on Saturday, 5 October.
What Happened to Joshua McLean?
Joshua McLean, 31, was fatally shot on Tuesday, 6 August, in Weavers Fields, Wilmot Street, E2. The chilling crime shocked the local community and sparked a major investigation led by the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command.
Three Others Already Charged
Abbas joins:
- Nefur Miah, 36, of Redmans Road, E1
- Muhammed Ismail Ali, 37, of Marlborough Road, RM7
- Simeon Oliver-Stewart, 30, of Clevedon Close, N16
These men were charged with McLean’s murder on Thursday, 26 September, and have all since appeared in court.
