Police Hunt Trucker Who Exposed Himself to Schoolgirls in Stoke-on-Trent

 

Police have launched an urgent appeal after a lorry driver allegedly exposed himself to two young girls in Stoke-on-Trent this morning.

The disturbing incident occurred shortly after 8am on uk/news/uk/Weston" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Weston" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="182321">Weston Road, in the Weston Coyney area, as the girls were believed to be on their way to school. Staffordshire Police have confirmed they received a report of the offence at 10.05am.

According to police, the suspect was in a white lorry bearing a black and orange logo at the time of the incident.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said:

We received a report at 10.05am today (March 18) involving a man exposing himself to two young girls on Weston Road in Weston Coyney. It happened just after 8am. The man was in a white lorry with a black and orange logo at the time.”

Officers are now carrying out enquiries in the area and are appealing to any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the time of the incident.

Residents in the community have expressed concern over the incident, with calls for increased patrols near school routes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident 182 of March 18. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police have reassured the public that they are treating the matter seriously and are determined to identify and apprehend the suspect as soon as possible.
