Oxford Street, W1, has been closed in both directions following a collision involving an electric bus and a car near Bond Street station.
Emergency services, including Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service, were called to the scene shortly after midnight on Thursday (20 March). The incident has resulted in significant disruption to traffic and public transport in the busy central London area.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes, as Oxford Street remains blocked in both directions while the scene is made safe and investigations are carried out.

- Route 94: Diverted via Portman Street, Portman Square, Baker Street, Wigmore Street, Cavendish Square, Cavendish Place, Mortimer Street, Regent Street.
- Routes 139, N113: Diverted via Baker Street, Wigmore Street, Cavendish Square, Cavendish Place, Mortimer Street, Regent Street.
For buses towards Marble Arch:
- Routes 390, N98, N207: Diverted via Regent Street, Cavendish Place, Cavendish Square, Wigmore Street, Orchard Street, returning to Oxford Street.
- Route 94: Diverted via Regent Street, Cavendish Place, Cavendish Square, Wigmore Street, Orchard Street, returning to Oxford Street.
- Routes 139, N113: Diverted via Regent Street, Cavendish Place, Cavendish Square, Wigmore Street, Baker Street.
Routes N7 and N137 have been curtailed to terminate at Marble Arch until further notice.
Transport authorities are advising passengers to allow extra travel time and check Transport for London (TfL) service updates before beginning their journeys.
There have been no immediate reports of injuries, though emergency services remain at the scene and further updates are expected in due course
